As a somatic practitioner, I’m drawn to practices that cultivate a strong foundation for holistic wellness — body, mind, energy, and spirit.

Qigong is one of those rare, time-tested practices. Rooted in ancient Chinese medicine and practiced for thousands of years, it's designed to nourish and strengthen your life-force energy (Qi) for self-healing, vitality, and empowerment.

I’ve been dancing with qi gong for nearly a decade — its gentle, powerful movements helped me connect more deeply with my energy body and brought a whole new dimension to my dance practice. But it wasn’t until about three years ago, during a deeply painful bout of kidney stones, that the practice truly took center stage in my life.

Rather than take a purely western approach to healing, I was curious to explore the imbalance not just physically, but energetically and emotionally. I wanted to support my kidneys in a targeted, holistic way — and what I discovered changed everything.

I became fascinated by how each organ in Traditional Chinese Medicine is linked to emotions, elements, and even symbolic archetypes like spirit animals. Practices like the Six Healing Sounds became my anchors — offering clarity, calm, and grounding when life felt chaotic.

What keeps me coming back to qigong is how it helps me:
🔑 Seal energy leaks
🔑 Cultivate and circulate life-force energy
🔑 Support my organs and internal balance
🔑 Boost overall vitality and emotional wellbeing
🔑 …and it’s surprisingly blissful!

I recently completed a year-long teacher training and I’m excited to share this profound yet accessible practice with you. My approach blends the wisdom of qi gong with Dance Healing (my version of dance/movement therapy) to facilitate you coming into deeper connection & alignment with your whole self.

Whether you're standing, seated, or simply visualizing the movements, these practices meet you where you are.

"I have really enjoyed Haley Shannon’s approach to Qigong. She combines elements of movement, grace, attention to detail, clear instruction, and overall creativity, especially in her sample video, combining two protocols. Hayley brings enthusiasm and a sincere interest in helping others achieve their own best health, energy, clarity of mind, and optimism through movement."
